There are three practical options:

Matting: Traditionally known as “coconut matting”, sometimes replaced with a modern synthetic fabric “Danydura” which can be laid directly on to grass; this gives a functional finish suitable for many events. A popular low-cost option.

Wooden Underfloor + Carpet or Vinyl: The preferred flooring option for important events. Quality of carpet can be selected for the occasion from basic cord to high quality velour with underlay; vinyl finishes including natural wood effect etc. Also non-slip finishes for catering areas.

Suspended Cassette Floor: For very special events we can provide a suspended cassette floor which offers a more adjustable option enabling a near perfect level floor. This can then be covered as required.

All of the above options can be supplied and fitted by our experienced marquee riggers. For VIP events requiring a perfect finish we can arrange professional carpet/flooring fitters for an additional charge. Please remember that all flooring is laid to ground conditions.

We can also supply a track surface which can be laid outside marquees, in fields, gardens etc to provide a surface suitable for guests and their vehicles which will reduce the risk of bogging down in wet weather.
